This box was composed on the basis of a baby's average annual need of nappies. Should you need extra items, then you

How does the Bambinex system work ?

The basic item is a supersoft high absorbing bamboo viscose nappy with a handy velcro fastener. You fit a booster

pad into the nappy for extra absorption and protection. On top of the booster pad comes a cellulose paper liner

sheet that is the first layer absorbing fluid and solid parts and that you can flush down the toilet or put on the

compost heap. A breathing microporous outer wrap again with easy velcro system surrounds this whole. During the day

the nappy and a cellulose paper liner sheet can be sufficient. As the baby grows you will learn to play with the

system.

What's so special about this Bambinex nappy system ?

1) bamboo viscose feels very soft and comfortable and absorbs up to 70% more than cotton;
2) your baby becomes 3 to 6 months faster toilet trained, because throwaway diapers keep babies too long too 

comfortably dry thus not stimulating them to become neat and tidy;
3) at least in Belgium you can save up to € 600 per child (click here  to see a cost calculation by IMOG beit in

Dutch on page 2); many towns (click here  for an overview of flemish towns) grant premiums for this nappy system,

that can cover up to 50% of the purchasing cost;
4) it is much more environment friendly than throwaway diapers : from birth to toilet trainedness, a baby on average

consumes between 1.1 and 1.4 tonnes of diaper waste that is not separately collected and is full of chemicals; this

is why Belgium and the UK encourage trough premiums young mothers to chose for reusable diaper systems; bamboo as a

raw material is a far better option than traditional cotton or purely synthetic alternatives.
